Mason Peter Black
Became the highest drafted pitcher in school history when SF took him in the third round in 2021. Was 7-3 with a 3.11 ERA in 13 starts (four complete games) with 95 strikeouts in 72.1 innings en route to Patriot League Pitcher of the Year honors in 2021.

2023

Reached Triple-A in his second full season, making his final 13 starts of the season in a River Cats uniform...went 3-4 with a 3.86 ERA in those 13 starts. Began the year at Double-A and really turned it on in June/July, posting a 1.19 ERA (4er, 30.1ip) with 42 strikeouts and seven walks over his final seven starts with the Squirrels before his promotion to Triple-A. Settled in to Triple-A after a few starts, logging a 2.49 ERA in five August starts and a 3.86 ERA in four September starts. Averaged 11.28 strikeouts per 9.0 innings for the season, striking out 155 batters in 123.2 innings.
